About

I entered the world of politics when I first started listening to Rush Limbaugh in the car with my dad when I was around 13 years old or so. I kept up my level of activism when I entered high school by showing up to Bastrop County Republican Party meetings. When I turned 18, I voted in the 2008 Primary, attended my precinct convention, and became a delegate to the Bastrop County Republican Convention. From there I was elected to be a delegate to the 2008 State Republican Convention in Houston and was honored as the youngest delegate in Congressional District 25.

I stayed active in politics once I made it to The University of Texas at Austin when I joined the Young Conservatives of Texas — my oasis on a campus full of liberalism. I loved everything about the organization, so I did everything I could to stay involved. I’d like to say that it paid off because I was elected Chairman of YCT-UT before my first year of college had even started. Now, I’m in a network full of conservatives that I never knew existed, and it’s opened so many doors for me as far as internships, people I meet, etc…

I am a Business Management and Government major with a minor in Management Information Systems here at UT. I’m also Vice President of the Eta Chapter of the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity (some of the best friends I’ll ever have). When I’m not focused on politics, I’m watching sports religiously, so I will often post about UT Athletics here, as well as the pros every now and then. My favorite sport is baseball, but my close second is football. If college football would actually get a playoff system, it would be the best sport in the world, bar none.

So with that, I created this blog to give my perspective on things. First, politics on the UT Campus, then politics of Austin/Travis County, and then politics in the State of Texas. Every now and then, I’m sure I will be too tempted not to post about Barack Obama’s failures or Joe Biden’s foot in his mouth, or Nancy Pelosi’s lies and deceptions. So that is what this blog is about. Politics, sports. and life through the eyes of an Orangeblooded Conservative.
